NEK DESIGN initiated its activities in 1984 as a naval architect office, and is occupied exclusively with yachts.

NEK DESIGN has studied thoroughly and has had multiyear experience with Greek legislation as well as directive 94/25 of the E.U. concerning yachts. It has been selected as inspector of Brussels-based certified body IMCI, identified by code 0609 to administer surveys of yachts and associated equipment in order to grant the relavant CE certification.

Certification is mandatory for all new vessels of length 2.5 - 24 metres which are going to be sold within the E.U., as well as same sized used vessels which are being imported in the E.U. for the first time
