The 2013/53/EU Directive of the European Union exists from the year 1996, and is valid for all EU countries from the year 1998. According to it, any yacht which should be placed in the EU Market it has to be CE certified.
The responsible Person for the CE Certification is either the boatbuilder or the dealer of the yacht, if the yacht is a new one. If the yacht is a used one the responsible person for the certification is the legal owner of her.
